I am interested in a GPS for tramping.
Many people reccomend the 12XL, but it is very expensive and heavy looking at the specifications.
I have used a tramping mate's etrex but it is somewhat useless in the bush, escpecially in valleys. Though it is ok if you stop for a bit and hold it out looking at the skytrack to find a sweet spot.
The 72 looks similar to the etrex, but has a quad helix aerial rather than a patch.
Will this make much of a difference in the bush?
It doesn't take an aerial but I don't mind that.
Also any problems with its ease of use, durability etc.?
