Passing this on from a list I'm on. I'd encourage you to take part in the performance testing on Thursday and Friday if practicable. I expect that quite a few of us will be using this system in future, so now is a very good time to have a look, help test, and provide some feedback.
The Society submitted on this back in 2006, and it is good to see that it is starting to become reality. The next step will be to get the data in a form suitable to put into GPS units and take into the field
Cheers Gav
The Walking Access Commission invites you all to take part in user testing for the Walking Access Mapping System (WAMS) - Ara Hikoi. WAMS identifies publicly-owned land that the public can have a reasonable expectation of being able to access. The mapping system is currently in Beta testing and open to anyone interested in using the site.
This Thursday and Friday (28-29 October) the Walking Access Commission will carry out a performance test on WAMS to measure the capacity for the site to support a number of simultaneous users and we would like to invite you all to take part in this testing.
If you are interested in taking part in user testing of the, please go to http://www.arahikoi.org.nz to create a profile then log-in to access the system.
