HELP! Need to import accurate Coords in to Google Earth? how

So........wise Ones once more

I just want to correct an area of about 2km square for a boundy to some land on the same GE map/tile?? for the once off purpose!

So can I edit a *.GPX file to adjust the Cord for that one day readings in that very area to prove a point? and how would i do it as i may be a newbbie trying to learn fast ....at that GE is not tied in to the Coords I have and it would seem a waste of money paying for GE pro if it has the same problem?

Any Hint, tips or recomendations???

Agree with Brent, go for something that has accurately georeferenced imagery - especially if it is something that involves property boundaries. And remember that there is a reasonable error (usually 5-10m associated with handheld GPS). If you need something more accurate than that you may require surveyors.

A couple of points...

2. You may be experiencing the 50m from a multitude of errors. I've noted that there is a 10-20m error in the new Google Earth imagery - it needs to be shifted about this far SSE-SE to be correct (noted from multiple tracks biking, on different days, different GPS (including friends 60/sirf) and on good clear ground) -

I've seen similar errors in the Chch area using a Trimble GeoXH receiver and (submeter) float post processing of the data. Viewing the data in Nasa WorldWind with the Linz imagery is much better than with the current GE imagery. As the GE KML Spec (http://earth.google.com/kml/kml_tags.html#coordinates) states "Longitude and latitude measurements are standard lat-lon projection with WGS84 datum", there should be no need for datum conversion. Data collected in California showed none of these types of errors.

I'd be interested to know if someone who has GE Plus/Pro can confirm if the errors exist there as well. I'd hate to be paying for a professional product and getting poorly georeferenced imagery...

I'm using GE Plus. It was my understanding that at least GE & GE Plus use the same primary database for the imagery. Don't know about GE Pro, although it is supposed to have 'Fastest performance - enhanced network access'.
