I've just updated the registrations of interest, and we've currently got 565 people (283 teams) registered and they're still coming in at a steady trickle. We expect to announce the registration pricing and details in the Feb newsletter due next week, and should be able to start accepting payments soon thereafter. A heads-up from us that well be using electronic bank deposits and cheques in New Zealand, and we're likely to be using PayPal to handle non-NZ payments. More details in the near future.

If you are on the fence, I would strongly encourage you to start booking, especially if you want commercial accommodation for the long weekend in Dunedin ;)

It will be up running (at least for NZ paid registrations by the end of this month). Not long thereafter we will support international payments as well, we just have a few things to work out with PayPal. I have been away in Australia 'researching' the recent OZ MEGA - so apologies ;)

Hi Red. I don't want to interrupt your lazy trip in Oz 8) but it will be useful to see an Event Programme at some stage. It will help people schedule their days in and around the Mega. I imagine we're not going to be camp-bound 24/7 so it will assist in knowing what we want to attend/do and when we have gaps in the schedule allowing us to dash out and get some caching in to keep the withdrawal headaches away #-o You may also find that once the Programme is out, more people are comfortable volunteering for certain parts of the event as they know the time they volunteer doesn't overlap something they really wish to participate in/attend.

Yep, we're holding off on releasing formal registration until we provide more details on the programme. Doesn't seem much point asking people to pay until we provide a clearer outline of the programme.

Soon...

What can we do to make the sponsors feel loved?

We only have a couple of confirmed sponsors so far, so are still working on this.
We'll publish details when we have something to publish!

If anyone out there is interested in becoming a sponsor or in being a vendor at the MEGA then please make contact with us. PM through this forum site is fine.

Let us know how much of the budget to set aside for swag. Will there be any event-specific swag like T-Shirts, caps, coins, etc?

Are "the boys" from Groundspeak coming with a few large boxes of the "Good Stuff"? 8)

This may be a great opportunity for people to load up on coins, TB tags and so on, but also on more exotic stuff that would normally attract a hefty postal penalty to bring to our fair isles when people order as individuals.

For the vendors alone - you'll want to bring heaps of dosh. They were doing quite the trade in Australia, and we expect to see similar here, and there are some very cool camo caches to purchase.

If they are as good as the ones in the photo, I'll have a few myself!

Overseas vendors coming to NZ Mega should take note of this.
