NZ MEGA 2012 Registration

Hi all,

Registrations for NZ MEGA 2012 are now open to those that are able to pay in New Zealand dollars (electronic deposit or cheque). We are working on a PayPal account to enable International payments, and hope to have that available in a couple of weeks.

The process is fairly simple -> Complete the NZ MEGA 2012 Registration

Would it not be a good idea to put in the form how much registration is?
I think from memory it's $70, but it would save people some time searching the forums looking for the amount.

Not that I have a personal need, but I wonder if a free-form "Notes" / "Additional comments" may be of use also? In case people want to inform the organisers of something. My mind's thinking diet, medical needs; just even just making organisers (and St John's? / Annie & PB ) aware that someone with an xyz condition will be on-site, etc.

Any additional details can be emailed to mega@gps.org.nz at any time.

Things like diet will be asked when we put up a form for ordering meals, for those that want them onsite. Likewise for onsite accommodation. But I have added a freetext field right at the end for 'Additional Information'.

Because as an organisation we have to jump through a few more hoops than an individual account. It is nearly all sorted, just one letter to go... (in fact that may even be on this evenings list of Mega things to do).

So I've caught up on the Registrations. I'll probably be doing this weekly for the time being (quite possibly a Monday) as it does take a bit of work to sit down and complete.

1. If you've registered, and we've received payment, then you should have received a confirmation email from us.
2. If you've registered and paid quite recently, we are waiting until we've seen the deposit or cheque before we send a confirmation email.
3. If you've registered and not paid, I'll follow up as we're expecting payments to be made around the same time as completing the registration form. If you're not ready to pay, or you are waiting on PayPal/Credit Card, hold off registering until the additional means of payment are available please.

Thought we'd missed something and was looking to make our payment, but it's not ready as yet, so, as soon as you have the paypal details, we'll get our payment across.

We finally got PayPal to unlock our account on Thursday after quite a bit of to-ing and fro-ing. I'll be testing it this weekend (for mechanics and to see exactly what margin PapPal take so we can set the price accordingly), but we should have an announcement out in the very near future for PayPal payments

Ooops - I thought that by now the PayPal system was operating, so I registered and booked accomodation and thought I would be receiving an invoice to pay via PayPal. Has my application been accepted, or do I have to start all over again when the PayPal system is operating?
